NANNY

We called my grandmother "Nana" which was her choice.  It means "grandmother" but has the connotation of nursemaid.  In the J.M. Barrie classic, Peter Pan's huge dog was called "Nana".  The dog took care of him.  Our federal government is the new "nana'.  Those in charge think the government should take care of our every need.  That's the direction we are heading.  We're just babies - unable to care for ourselves.  How sad.
