PHOBIAS

I was thinking about how I've become more afraid of heights than I once was.  I think it comes from not being in high places very often.  It gives me the willies to stand at the rail in the baggage claim area in the Cincinnati airport where you greet incoming friends and look down to the lower level.  If  I force myself, I can get used to it to some degree, but I don't like it.

Anyway, I couldn't remember what the technical name was for 'fear of heights' so I went to a website called The Phobia List;  www.phobialist.com.  What a hoot!  This guy has collected the name of every phobia he can find.  He claims he made up none of them;  that they were all found in literature.  Its hard to believe.  You name it and they have a phobia name for it.  Check it out when you have five minutes of free time.  I'm sure you'll find a few that will make you smile . . . unless, of course, you have logophobia.
