RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

THE NATIONAL PASTTIME

I had the Reds-Cubs game on the car radio Sunday of Memorial Day weekend while we took an afternoon drive around town.  At one point in the eighth inning of a game the Reds had led 4-0 and now were tied, Marty Brennaman reported that Kyuji Fujikawa was pitching to Shin-Soo Choo.   I jokingly said to myself, "Who won the freekin' war?"  Of course, we were driving around in my Honda CR-V and our Toyota Prius was parked in the garage.

When I got home, I planted our new American Flags in the yard.  I think they were made in China.

PS.  In case you didn't know it, Asian names with two, three or four syllables usually belong to the Japanese; single syllable names to the Chinese or Koreans.
