RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

THIS AND THAT

In the movie, Trouble with the Curve, the inscription Clint Eastwood's character had placed on his wife's tombstone was "May God grant you extra innings."  I could handle that.

Recently-deceased actor, James Gandolfini, was a guest on the Bravo network's Inside the Actors Studio nine years ago.  Host James Lipton asked him, as he has every guest for the past 19 years, "If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say at the pearly gates?"  Without hesitation, he brought down the house with this quip, "Take over for awhile, I'll be right back."

Lucky me!  Sixty-eight and still on the right side of the grass.
