FIREWORKS ON TV

It rained all day here on the 4th.  Except to go out for dinner, we spent the day inside.  At night, we opted for fireworks on TV.  First we tuned to PBS and watched a little Capitol Fourth.  The low-light was Barry Manilow who has had one too many facial operations.  His cheeks are pulled so tight he can hardly walk.  He looked so bad you almost didn't notice how bad he was signing.  He can't even do his own songs.  They must have damaged his vocal cords trying to eliminate a rooster wattle.

It was so bad we changed to NBC's version sponsored by Macy's.  They had young stars Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift and then they sprinkled in a little Cher who has had as many facial operations as Manilow.  Difference is - she's starting to look good.  Her body is awesome and her voice is as good as ever.  As long as they kept the camera at a distance, she looked like 1983.

The moral of this story is:  If you're going to get some work done, get it done right and keep your distance from all cameras.
