LEND ME AN EAR

For years, people have been complaining that the Federal Government doesn't listen to the common citizen.  No more!  Now, through the 'leaks' of Edward Snowden, it has been shown that one agency of government does in fact listen to us . . . it is the NSA (National Security Agency).  The NSA has been collecting data on every phone call of every person in the Country - yes, that includes you and me.  (The NSA is in charge of 'Signal Intelligence' and is separate from the CIA which is in charge of 'Human Intelligence'.)

The 4th Amendment to our Constitution forbids unreasonable search and seizure . . . searches 'without cause' have been judged to be unreasonable.  Oh no!  What do we do now?  This will be played out in the courts . . . probably the Supreme Court some day.  Where will it come down . . . on the side of individual rights or the side of national security?
