SUNDAY MESSAGE

Today we find the story of Jesus being baptized by John.  John, of course, told Jesus he was not worthy - that Jesus should be baptizing him.  Jesus told him, "Let's just do it for now"  or something to that effect.   It was a teaching moment.  Jesus didn't have to be baptized.  Baptism is just a symbol of our admission of sin and request for forgiveness.  That's the message.  That is what Jesus taught us.
