This is a first.  Today, I am party to a lawsuit against an agency of the Federal Government.

Senator Rand Paul in conjunction with FreedomWorks filed a law suit, as a class action on behalf of all cell phone users, against the National Security Agency (NSA).  The claim is that the agency is violating my Fourth Amendment privacy rights by collecting cell phone metadata.  What do you think of that?

A staunch and vocal libertarian, Senator Paul comes from Kentucky, our neighbor to the south,  He has aspirations for the White House.

FreedomWorks is a conservative and libertarian non-profit group based in Washington, D.C.  Their stated goals are less government, lower taxes and more freedom.

The NSA is located in Ft. Mead, Maryland.  It has a new data center in Bluffdale, Utah which cost the taxpayers 1.5 billion dollars - give or take a few million.  It's twenty or so buildings contain, among other things, supercomputers to ensure the cyber security of our country and, evidently, to collect phone call information on any and all citizens without due process.

This might be fun to watch.
