SOFTBALL

Last night was hot and steamy and a great night for a late softball game.  We played a team we could handle easily.  I caught two and pitched five innings and I went one for four at the plate as we won 12-3.

The game is mostly just fun as we play it but last night we witnessed a rare injury.  A player on the other team, the center fielder, completely whiffed on a high fly ball and let it hit him in the noggin as it came down.  Yikes!  It looked funny but it wasn't.  He had the face of  Rocky Balboa after a beating from Apollo Creed.  He was taken to the emergency room and we played on.

Did I mention beer and pizza and laughs?  I'll keep it up as long as I can.
