On this day in 2007, just seven years ago, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published.  It was the seventh and last of the Harry Potter series which began in 1997.

J.K. Rowling's work was and still is the fastest-selling novel of all time.  It sold 15 million copies in the first 24 hours after it's release.  Of that, 11 million copies were sold in the US and UK alone.  It was translated into 120 languages and released in 93 countries.
