In the Book of Kings, Solomon teaches us an important point about prayer. He was the son of David and became king of Israel at a very young age. As the Bible story goes, God offered Solomon any one thing that he wanted. Solomon chose wisdom. It was the one thing that he would need to rightly govern all his people.
God was pleased with his request because he didn't ask for a long life or riches or power over his enemies. God promised Solomon a heart so wise and understanding that there was never his equal before and never will be after.
Remember this if you ever find one of the magic lamps . . . or the next time you pray.
