On this date in 1973, one of the most recognizable building in the world was opened:  The Sydney Opera House in New South Wales, Australia.  Its special to me because it brings back memories of a great trip we took in 1995.   My wife and I were able to spend 11 days in Sydney on a business trip compliments of my employer. We stayed in one of those hotels you see in the background of the picture below.  One day, I made the walk around Sydney harbor to the promontory upon which the Opera House sits. It is an architectural marvel.   It is so beautiful when lit at night.
