On my recent auto trip to Florida, I took 24 bottles of water. Each bottle held 16.9 oz. I drank 16 total bottles - I assume 8 going and 8 coming. That's over one gallon each way. I love water.
MY GAS TANK -
My CR-V has a tank that holds enough gas to drive about 400 miles. That requires three fill-ups each way. At 80 miles per hour (my average on this trip), I needed gas every five hours.
MY KIDNEYS -
My kidneys are over 69 years old. Based on how much water I drink while driving, the bladder my kidneys empty into holds only enough liquid for me to make it about three to four hours.
This is a problem. Its difficult coordinating the liquid in and liquid out. I'm thinking that larger and larger gas tanks on cars with better and better gas mileage might be counter-productive. Somebody should look into this - maybe a government committee..
