RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, my mother sang the following rhyme when she had lost something and was looking for it.  I heard it often.   "Tony, Tony, turn around.  Something's lost and must be found."

I'm not sure why this escaped me at the time, but she was praying to St. Anthony for help.  I never picked up on it when I was young.  It seems St. Anthony of Padua is the patron saint of finding things.  He supposedly performed many miracles involving the finding of lost articles and people.   Tomorrow is his feast day.
