Today is the first Sunday of Lent. The Gospel tells the story of Jesus in the desert. He spent forty days there among the wild beasts. He was tempted there by the devil and was administered to by angels.
And so we journey in the forty days of Lent among the beasts of the world. We will all be tempted by the devil and administered to by angels.
Angel of God my guardian dear, for me His love commits you here. Ever this day be at my side.
