WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, it was customary for kids in our city to cross themselves (make the sign of the cross) before shooting a free throw (foul shot) in a basketball game or going to bat in a baseball game.  I used to see it all the time.  Not everyone, of course, just some of the Catholic boys I suppose.  I don't think you'll see that much any more.
