4.) Walter Gordon Wilson of County Dublin invented the modern military tank.
5.) John Joly, from County Down, invented the color photograph.
6.) Louis Brennan, from County Mayo, invented the monorail.
7.) Dr. James J. Drumm developed the nickel zinc rechargeable battery in 1932 and it is used in your cell phone.
8.) Ernest Thomas Sinton Walton, County Waterford, was the first person to artificially split the atom.
9.) Sir Hans Sloane, County Down, invented chocolate milk.
10.) Arthur Guinness of Dublin invented Guinness beer.
