GOLFING NEOPHYTES
In case you're not closely tuned into what is happening in the world of professional golf, here is an important update. (It is more than just Tiger Woods is human.) These are the coming stars you should be familiar with.
On the men's side, get to know Jordan Spieth. He turned 20 years-old on July 27th. That was two weeks after he won the John Deere Classic. The Texan has credentials; he won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in 2009 and 2011. He has played solid golf this year and has been named to the U.S. President's Cup team.
On the distaff side, get to know Lydia Ko. Born in South Korea and raised in New Zealand, this young lady is only 16 years-old. She has so far chosen to remain an amateur and thereby has passed up collecting money for her two wins on the LPGA tour; two on the Asian ladies tour and one on the European ladies tour. Her prizes would have exceeded $1,000,000.00 if she were not an amateur.
