JUNE 29

On this date 70 years ago, my mother was trying to give birth to me before 7:00 am.  It seems her favorite doctor at the Army Air Force Hospital in Orlando, Florida would be going off duty then.  She was determined that he (Major Eugene L. Griffin) would deliver me.  She made it by a few minutes.  He handled the delivery.  Then he dropped me on my head.   Well, maybe.  Something made me the way I am.
