On this date in 2004, 30 year-old Ken Jennings of Salt Lake City lost - finally. He became the biggest winner in TV history by collecting $2,522,700.00 on Jeopardy in 75 consecutive shows.
Subsequent appearances on Jeopardy in the tournament of champions type shows and competing against a computer raised his winnings to $3,196,300.00.
