SUNDAY SERVICE

This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent.  Advent is the four weeks leading up to Christmas.

Advent is a time of preparation and looking forward.  Our Gospel reading this week refers not to the birth of Christ but to 'end times'.  I suppose you think that is looking ... way ... forward.  Well, that's not the point.

Christmas IS the coming of Jesus the Christ.  At your death, Jesus will come again - the second coming, if you will.  Understand that.  Just as we should prepare and look forward to Christmas, we should prepare and look forward to the 'second coming'.
