BUMPER STICKERS

The day before yesterday, I wrote about a bumper sticker I'd seen that said "Ticks Suck".  Maybe this is why it stuck with me.

I've always thought that 'suck' was a crude word.  When I was growing up, you never heard it used in the way it is today.  Today it means:  to perform poorly or to be objectionable.  That usage started as slang but now it seems to be mainstream vernacular.  I think it's sad.  You'll never hear me use the word like that.
