PEACE

Peace on earth, goodwill toward men.

In church, at every service, we wish each other peace.  Peace is not just the absence of war but, in a personal sense, the absence of hatred.  Peace can only be present when there is no hatred.  Hatred consumes the hater but not the hated.  Where there is no hatred, there is love.  Where there is true love, there is peace.

Another requirement for peace is to be without fear.  We have fear when we lose trust or faith.  It takes great trust and faith to live without fear.  Find something to trust in.  Find something to have faith in.  

Faith allows you to have hope; to look positively to the future.  Hope is the third leg of the stool upon which we stand.  Without hope, we can fall into despair. Despair is the precursor to death.

Live without hatred - have faith and trust in something - be full of hope for the future.
