WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, we were taught to hate communism and all communists.  This meant the Soviet Union and all their allies.  The Communists were taking over Eastern European countries one after the other and they were spreading their influence throughout Asia.  We were taught to be afraid of them because they might attack us at any time -  they wanted to take over the world.

Are today's children being taught to hate Muslims and all who follow Islam?  Are today's children being taught to be afraid of them?  Are the Muslims personified as ISIS?  Are kids afraid they will attack us at any time?

Communism is a form of government while Islam is a religion.  It's not the same but there are many similarities.  Hate is not healthy nor is fear.
