When I was a kid, I practiced drawing a six-shooter out of its holster while I stood in front of a mirror. I wanted to be the fastest gun in the neighborhood. I even perfected taking the gun out with a spin.
Cowboy and Indian shows (that's what we called them) were big on TV then and had an effect on me. Somehow, I avoided becoming a criminal.
