BRIGHT IDEAS

Last weekend I stopped in a Kroger store to pick up a few things including a 40 watt light bulb.  I chose an LED light that used 7 watts but is as bright as the old 40 watt bulb.  Amazing!  The package says it should cost me about $0.84 to use it for a year.  Really amazing!  The box also says this bulb will save me $90.00 on my energy bill.  Utterly amazing!

Do you think all that is amazing?  You ain't heard nothing yet.  The box says the bulb should last 22.8 years.  Holy shit!  I'll be ninety-three.  This bulb has been installed in the lamp by our living room window.  I hope one of my kids will replace it for me near the end of 2038.  It's likely I will not be able.  Thanks in advance.
