On this date in the year 2000, President Bill Clinton had the honor of announcing that GPS technology would no longer be limited to the military.  GPS is, of course, Global Positioning System. It is the widget in your phone or other device that figures out where you are at all times.  It takes signals from three satellites to do that trick.  Yes, your phone is constantly in touch with three satellites, or more, circling the globe high above.  Some of my younger grandchildren have never been without it.  It's normal for them.   I'm still totally amazed.
