April showers brought May flowers,  The flowers in our yard are better this year than in any of memory.   The roses have made a huge comeback.  The buttercups are in full bloom now.  The carpet flowers are the best in memory.  Even the old peonies are blooming like crazy.  All is well - except for my choke cherry tree which, I'm told, is doomed to die.
