RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

7/28/2016

SUNLIGHT

Today the sun will rise at 6:34 am in my neck of the woods and set at 8:53 pm.   Each day the times change.  We are losing 2 minutes per day this time of year.  I hate it.

The moon wont rise until 1:52 am and will set at 4:01 pm.  What a waste.  We need to schedule the moon to come out early in the evening.  It should set near dawn.  Somebody please work on that.

The 10-day forecast by the Weather Channel for the Los Angeles area shows 0% chance of rain each and every day.   In 90210, they're drinking champagne instead of water.

The Bengals open training camp tomorrow - players are checking in today.  Tighten up your chin strap.

The open trading period for Major League Baseball ends at the end of the month (Sunday).  Expect some deals by the Reds this weekend.  If good friends leave, don't be sad.  It's the price we pay for player free agency.   You wouldn't want the people taking all the risk in a business venture to make all the money.  It's also the cause of $8 bottles of beer and $3 bottles of water.

Hilz has been officially nominated.   I couldn't care less.  I do have a great idea.  They should allow tax-deductible donations to a fund which would be paid to TV stations for NOT running political ads.
