RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

SUNDAY SERVICE

You will hear in this week's Gospel according to Luke several well-known themes and lines.  It all gets started when his disciples ask him how many people will be saved. Jesus gives them the following advice.  "Strive to enter through the narrow gate... many will try but will not be strong enough."  "Once the door is closed ..."  you're outta luck.  You can call through the door "please let us in" but God may say "who are you?  I do not know you."

So, if there is anything you really want and need to do, stay close to God . . . talk to him through prayer, often.  Because, when you call, make sure he recognizes your voice.
