POTPOURRI

Website of the week:  www.iloveyoulikeafatladylovesapples.com   This one is interactive.  See what you can do with it.  Start by feeding the lady.  Later, see if you can throw the apples across the table.

Have you ever snapped a whipper?  Have you ever been one or been called one ... a whippersnapper, that is?  That's a great old word I haven't heard recently.  You know - I was a whippersnapper.

Does Ohio State University have a restriction against carrying a knife on campus like it does guns?  Luckily, someone had a gun on campus.

European countries have 17% of the world's population, 25% of the world's wealth and give away 50% of the worlds social services.  Is it any wonder that middle eastern refugees and other emigres flock there?

I didn't see many woolly worms this year.  Of course, they aren't worms but caterpillars -  the larvae of the Isabella tiger moth. They are common in the Fall.  Some call them woolly bears or woolly bear caterpillars and some people think their coloring is an indication of the intensity of the coming Winter.  They become a moth the following Summer.  I used to have one that was a friend.  I'll tell you about it some other time.
