ALL ABOUT SPORTS - CINCINNATI

🏀 Xavier plays tonight in the Big East tournament.  If they win, they face my cousin's son's team tomorrow night (Butler Univ).  Trevon Bluiett seems to be back up to speed so the X-men have a shot.
🏀 UC plays tomorrow night in the AAC tournament.  They will play the winner of a game played tonight.  All this leads up to 'Selection Sunday' and, hopefully, a good seed in the NCAA tournament.

🏀 One amazing thing has already happened.  In their first year of eligibility, Northern Kentucky University has made the tournament.  They won the Horizon League tournament.  Awesome?

It's March and this is the madness.

⚾ The crazy Reds lost their first six preseason games - not to worry -  and then they won the next five.  Streaky!   April 3 is opening day.

🏈 Today is the first day that free agents in the National Football League are allowed to sign with other teams.  The Bengals have about five players that other teams may covet.  The Brown family team usually doesn't get too involved in this method of acquiring players - but, the current rules assign a dollar amount that each club has to spend ("cap space").  Something is going to happen.

🏀 The Ohio State High School basketball tournament is closing in on a sweet 16 round after this weekend.  Local teams to watch:  Moeller #1 in division I.  Wyoming #1 in division II.  Summit Country Day #1 in division III.  Cincinnati Christian #1 in Division IV.   Note that Summit has won their two games by the score of 81-34 and 92-23.  Yikes.
