The Bengals lost to injury this week offensive lineman Trey Hopkins and defensive lineman Michael Johnson but they get back cornerback Adam Jones off suspension. Compare this to the Texans' plight. They listed 21 players on their injury report; seven of those are out for sure; one suspended and four are out with concussions from game one. To further complicate things for the Texans, they will start a rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson in place of the rummy they started in game one.
Things to watch this week: 1) J.J.Watt - Houston defensive end and maybe the best edge rusher in football. The Bengals weak offensive line will have it's hands full. 2) See if one of the Bengal running backs moves ahead of the other two and gets most of the work. 3) See if Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert gets targeted more than once.
Let's hope the home team lights up the scoreboard tonight. I wouldn't bet on it. Las Vegas has the Bengals as six point favorites. The over/under for combined points by both teams is a lowly 38 based on the fact neither looked any good last week.
Enjoy the game.
