Advice from Shakespeare - from the play, "Hamlet".
". . . neither a borrower nor a lender be . . ." and it continues, "for the loan oft loses both itself and the friend, and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry" Here 'husbandry' stands for whatever work you do and how eagerly you do it. In other words, "Why work so hard if you can borrow your way out of trouble." Debt is stifling.
As for lending, I say don't lend more than you would give freely. You will never be disappointed.
