RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

CINCINNATI

It doesn't seem right that I should be able to find something prominent in the Cincinnati area that I, a person who has lived here for over 70 years, never heard of.   Well, it happened again.

Right across the Ohio River in northern Kentucky sits a museum that is totally new to me.  It is called the Vent Haven Museum.  It's located not far off of I-75/I-71 in the community of Fort Mitchell.  The Vent Haven is the only museum in the world dedicated to ventriloquism.  That's right, ventriloquism.

In this hallowed building, you will find thousands of exhibits.  It is open to the public by appointment only and only from May 1 through September 30.  If you are by yourself, you can call and join any previously scheduled tour.  Don't worry about being out of place, more than 900 dummies are already there.

Check it out some time - it looks like a fun outing.  There is no cost but a $10 donation is suggested.
