CINCINNATI

We all want to go to Heaven when we pass.  A look at Cincinnati's Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum in the Spring will make you think that you have arrived.

The site was developed in 1845 and includes 733 acres located behind rock walls on Spring Grove Avenue.  It is a non-denominational cemetery with grounds that include 12 ponds and many chapels and mausoleums.  The architect who designed the grounds brought in trees and plants from around the world.  It is a botanical and horticultural masterpiece and a sanctuary for wildlife as well as the deceased.

You may think that there it incongruous that the most beautiful park in the city was built for the dead - but do not.  It is there for you to visit.  Come in the Spring.  It is spectacular.
