There are many translations to the Bible. Here I offer my own paraphrase.
Jesus said, "Remember this: If the world loves you, you are following the ways of the world. If you are my followers; if you are following me, don't expect the world to treat you any better than it treated me . . . and to me they hurled humiliation and insults before they tortured and crucified me."
