This week the Catholic church celebrates the Holy Trinity - three beings, one God. This is a tough concept - one made for theologians.
Never matter. Don't let it throw you.
Believe that there is only one God . . . that He made all things. Believe in Jesus Christ . . . God, the son of God who came to Earth, lived and died to show us the Way. Believe in the Spirit . . . God, the one who is with us now, who gives us strength and courage to follow the Way.
Just as father, mother and child are distinct individuals - so they are one family. So Father, Son and Spirit are distinct individuals - so they are one God. Don't make it harder than it is.
