THE WORD THIS WEEKEND

We have come to the last two weeks in the Church's calendar.  Advent begins a new year.  The readings we will hear at Catholic mass this weekend again have to do with the 'end times'.  

There has always been confusion about when these 'end times' will come.  The 'end times' Jesus speaks about in the Gospel this weekend is the end of the physical world. 

Or is it?

There is another 'end time' which is not so remote.  We don't know when it will be but you can be pretty sure it will come before you reach 110 years old.  

The old bromide is oh so true:  "You can't take it with you."  Don't get stuck with stuff that will be of no use when your day comes.  Lighten your load.  Ease your mind.  Find peace.

Be prepared - it's never too late.
