QUESTIONS

Do we all agree that 'dull' is the opposite of 'sharp'?   They shoulda thought of that before they started calling some cheddar cheese 'sharp'.  No one would want to buy 'dull cheddar cheese', would they?

With reference to my first brilliancy above, I think that 'shoulda' should become acceptable standard English usage.  It works for me.  It replaces 'should have' much more efficiently.

While we're on the subject of the English language, how about doing away with the letter 'q'?  All those 'qu' words could easily be changed to 'kw'.  There you go; one less letter for first graders to worry about.  'Q's are a hard letter to print, as well.  The little tykes might be less hostile at home with fewer letters to master in school.

BTW, there is a whole dictionary full of text message abbreviations.  ICYMI, youngsters are full of them and come up with new ones all the time.  IDK why you worry about it.  TBH I LOL at some of the negative comments I've heard about the use of abbreviations in text messages; e.g. "kids will never learn to spell".  Why should they learn to spell?  FWIW, I don't spell that well, myself.  Communication is not sacred.  IMO, all we need is both parties understanding what is said.  NVM what old people think.  Besides, old people started it with ASAP, TGIF and SWAK.  LMK what you think.
