Words with double vowels are rare in the English language; especially the ones with the letter a or i; as in aardvark and Hawaii.  Words with two double vowels are also rare;  words like beekeeper and bookkeeper.  Now squeeze your brain on this one.  What word has two double 'u's'  Give?  The word is muumuu.  Muumuu comes from Hawaiian.  It describes a loose fitting dress.  The early missionaries to Hawaii came up with the muumuu and distributed them to the native women - most were not in the habit of wearing much clothing.


I was wondering how many people who are alive today were alive in the 19th century.  I'd guess, not many.  Actually, there is no one who is verifiably that old - birth records are hard to come by from that long ago. 


In Uganda, there is a rapper they call "Fresh Kid".  His name is Patrick Ssenyonjo and he is eight years old.  He started rapping last year in his home in Luwero, Uganda in his native Luganda language.  He writes his songs about how difficult it is for his poor parents to get by.  He got a song put on YouTube and it went viral.  He was recognized by the American Music Awards.   His latest song is named "Bambi" which means "Please".
