THE WORD THIS WEEKEND

This weekend at Catholic mass you will hear a short excerpt from the Gospel of Matthew.   Here is what is said in essence.  Jesus tells his disciples to "be not afraid."   No one can do more harm to you on Earth than you can do to yourself.  

"Be true to me and I will be true to you."   "Disown me and I will disown you."  

It's a simple message; one that is easily understood.  "Be not afraid!"
