RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

BENGAL MANIA

Well, we had more of the same last weekend.  The Bengals lost to the Cowboys (a very poor team) 30-7. Andy Dalton led the 'boys' into town and he left with a big smile on his face.  Bengals quarterback Brandon Allen is getting better but the defense is not.  The offensive line shortened Allen's day and maybe, one of his legs.  He left hurt and we had to resort to Ryan Finley again.  To top it off, Cincinnati runners fumbled three times early in the game to put our boys in a hole from which they could not recover.  Coach Zac Taylor activated a new kicker for this one and a new lineman - neither helped much.  The big positive is that we probably have at least the #3 pick in the next draft sewed up.

This weekend the Bengals face the Pittsburgh Steelers at PBS on Monday night.  Everyone must be overjoyed that we get a chance at a national audience with the crew we have right now.

The 'steel city creeps' have been having some problems of their own, recently.  This is based mostly on their inability to run the ball.  Whatever their problems, I'm sure the locals can cure them.  The bookies make these Pitts a 12-point favorite.  Pop some popcorn if you wish - you will probably have to drink heavily to get through this one; if you know what I mean.
