Thought I would offer a time-line on some of the major buildings in The Queen City of the West.
These are the oldest.
1804 - The Betts House The oldest surviving building in Cincinnati. I have a complete entry on the building dated 10/6/2019
1820 - The Taft Museum It is a wooden structure, built originally as a residence near city center
1841 - Old St. Mary's Church The oldest surviving church; built by German immigrants in the Over the Rhine neighborhood. Old was added to the name of this Roman Catholic church in 1904 when another St. Mary's was opened in Hyde Park.
1855 - Findlay Market Opened for business; was recently named one of the top ten markets in the world.
1861 - Arnolds Bar and Grill The oldest continuously operating bar in the city. The building was operated as a warehouse from 1838 when it was built. The original bar was upstairs of the warehouse.
