"We have met the enemy and he is us." Famous line by the opossum in Walt Kelly's "Pogo" comic strip. It actually was a twist on the famous line by Commandant Oliver Perry during the War of 1812 in his message to General William Henry Harrison, "We have met the enemy and they are ours."
The first solar cell was put into service in 1884 and was 1% efficient. Today, we can make cells which vary between 6% and 44% efficient with commercially available cells producing 14-19% efficiency.
Truism: If we let politicians break the law in an emergency, they will create emergencies in order to break the law. We are a nation of laws; without laws we have chaos.

Elon Musk, of Tesla and SpaceX fame, has co-founded and invested $100 million into a firm called Neuralink whose aim is to perfect an interface between the human brain and a computer. He hopes to be able to cure dementia, Alzheimer's, spinal cord injuries and, eventually, make people smarter.
