Lord Jesus,
Your life showed us that you most cared for the poor, the forgotten, those suffering and the misjudged. You made the last to be first and the first to be last. You came for the destitute, the orphans and widows.
Even open sinners and the dregs of society were at your table.
Today, give me ears to hear the cries of the poor. Eyes to see the needs of the wretched. A voice with the courage to speak the good news that You are the way to eternal life.
I pray to you my God. Help me today.
