MIDWEEK PRAYER

 Here is a prayer I've copied from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer.  It says it right.  After it, I've added a note from blessed Mother Teresa.

Almighty and most merciful God,
we remember all poor and neglected persons
whom it would be easy enough for us to forget;
the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick
and all those who have no one to care for them.
Help us to heal those who are broken in body or spirit,
and to turn their sorrow into joy.
Grant this Father, for the love of your Son,
who for our sake became poor,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

"When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happen because God didn't take care of him or her.
It has happened because neither you nor I wanted to give that person what he or she needed."
