Before it's too late: Happy Birthday, Suzanne. Udabest.
The War in Ukraine is so much on our minds today that I thought I would search and see when I had mentioned Ukraine in my previous blog entries. I found a connection to Cincinnati that I had forgotten.

CINCINNATI
Arnold Spielberg was born in Cincinnati in 1917. He and his wife's parents were born in the Ukraine. Arnold was an electrical engineer who worked for General Electric. In the early days of computer science, he was instrumental in advances in the study of processes having to do with feedback, control of information and data processing. With a colleague, he designed the GE-225 main frame computer in 1959. By himself, he designed the first computer-controlled 'point-of-sale' cash register.
Arnold's son was also born in Cincinnati. He called him Steven. Arnold was a World War II veteran and his experiences were contributed to films made by Steven: Saving Private Ryan, Bridge of Spies and Schindler's List.
Here are a few of son Steven's other motion picture projects (director and/or producer). I doubt there is any list to rival this.
