Did you ever see a cuckoo?  Not the clock but the bird.  The 'roadrunner' in the cartoon is a cuckoo.  Some call them the laziest bird.  They lay their eggs in the nests of other birds - often one that has similar looking eggs.  They even let the other birds wean them.  How lazy is that?  Not only are they lazy, some of the breed are raptors who feed on other birds.
