Did you know that there is a star with my name on it?   Well, Starnamer says there is and I have a registry certificate to prove it.  It is in or near the Constellation Puppis - is that a name that I would make up?  Sadly, it's in the Southern Hemisphere so I can't go out and dwell on it from home.

Officially, only 17 people have ever been measured at 8' height or more.  None were basketball players.

Abe Lincoln's picture is on one side of our $5 bill and the Lincoln Memorial is pictured on the other.  Near the top of the Memorial, there are 26 or 27 state's names engraved into the stone.  None of these is the Great State of Ohio.  What's up?

The first product the new Motorola Company started to develop in 1928 was a record player for automobiles.  The major record player at the time was the Victrola.  Thus the name, Motorola.

Have you heard of Mithraism?  It was the worshiping of the ancient god that the Romans called Mithras, the Hindus called Mitra and the Iranians called Mithra.   This god is one which was honored by four distinct religions: Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Manicheism, and by the Roman Empire.   This god carried many of the qualities attributed to Jesus Christ as the two religions progressed into the modern era.  In the Roman Empire, it was really a soldier's religion - they picked it up in their conquests and spread it throughout the Empire.  It was stamped out by Roman Emperor Theodosius in the 4th century.
